APS is seeking an experienced Site Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in physical security asset installation to oversee projects in data center and office environments. This role will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of security technology integration projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards, stakeholder requirements, and enterprise-level compliance. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience coordinating with specialized security integrators, managing construction or retrofit projects involving physical security systems, and delivering complex projects on time and within scope.

  • Project Management: Lead site-based physical security installation projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution oversight.
  • Security Systems Oversight: Manage deployment of systems such as access control, surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and monitoring platforms in both new builds and retrofit environments.
  • QA/QC & Inspections: Implement standard large-scale construction QA/QC practices, including daily inspections, punch-list management, and issue resolution to ensure work meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Site Walks & Oversight: Conduct regular site walks to validate installation quality, adherence to safety standards, and progress against schedule.
  • Design Coordination: Work closely with design teams to resolve field discrepancies, manage design clarifications, and ensure installed work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
  • RFI Management: Oversee the creation, tracking, and resolution of Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely communication between contractors, integrators, and design stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating daily coordination meetings, status updates, and priority alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Oversee integrator and subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with schedule commitments.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including site logs, QA/QC reports, inspection checklists, as-builts, and closeout materials.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and operational environments.
  • Retrofit Expertise: Manage challenges associated with live environment retrofits, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
  • 5+ years in project management roles overseeing physical security system installations.
  • Proven experience with security integrators or companies specializing in access control, CCTV, and physical security asset deployments.
  • Familiarity with data center environments and/or large-scale office projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction QA/QC processes, site inspections, and RFI management.
  • Strong understanding of physical security installation standards, wiring methods, and integration practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in dynamic environments.
  • Strong technical acumen with a hands-on approach to project oversight.
  • Skilled in balancing daily site execution oversight with high-level stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborative leader who can align design, construction, and operations teams effectively.
  • Detail-driven with a commitment to quality, compliance, and operational safety.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or ASIS certifications (PSP, CPP, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, construction drawings, and QA/QC documentation workflows is a plus.
