SREs are embedded in product teams and focus on monitoring, observability, and reliability. They suggest improvements to the code base and architecture and build tools that help teams operate safely and efficiently. In this role, you will join a senior aftersales product team working on services that handle millions of requests per day.

Requirements

  • Experience with Java or Kotlin and the ability to read and debug code
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and observability concepts
  • Experience with at least one observability tool such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud provider (Other cloud providers knowledge might also be useful)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container based platforms
  • Knowledge of Unix or Linux systems
  • Experience scripting with Python and Bash
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Have hands on experience with Kubernetes in production
  • Have worked with Datadog dashboards and alerts
  • Are familiar with Scrum and DevOps ways of working
  • Open source software

Responsibilities

  • Work daily with Java and or Kotlin, mostly using Spring Boot
  • Own monitoring, alerting, and observability for your team’s services
  • Create and improve dashboards using Datadog
  • Monitor availability, latency, and overall system health
  • Support services throughout their lifecycle, from design to production
  • Take part in incident handling and post mortems
  • Write and maintain documentation for monitoring and disaster recovery
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product, and QA
