AS AN INTERN YOU WILL Gain hands-on experience from day one and be encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of tasks, and build solutions that are used at scale. English is our working language, and you will work closely with experienced engineers in a collaborative team environment. This is a 6‑month paid internship focused on practical experience, learning on the job, and close collaboration with the team. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL Support the creation and further development of modern web user interfaces that power Mercedes-Benz digital products. Help build and maintain frontend applications, implementing user-facing features with a focus on performance, accessibility, and clean code. Collaborate within a cross-functional team (including frontend, backend, QA, DevOps, product, and design) on frontend-related tasks and features. Participate in team discussions to solve technical challenges in practical and efficient ways. Support the translation of UI designs into working interfaces, collaborating closely with UX/UI designers and ensuring consistent use of design systems. Contribute to the quality of our frontend code by writing automated tests and following best practices through code reviews.
Requirements
- To have recently completed a BSc or MSc in a computer science related field and be available to start a voluntary paid internship for 6 months in July.
- To have basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (and ideally TypeScript).
- To have basic knowledge of at least one modern frontend framework such as Vue (React or similar).
- To understand the fundamentals of web development, including browser behavior.
- To have willingness to learn from a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
