The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing overall plant performance, encompassing safety, cost efficiency, machine uptime, quality control, waste reduction, and process reliability. This role involves managing employees, fostering effective teams, and ensuring strict adherence to all International Paper safety and health protocols, as well as federal and state OSHA requirements. The Site Manager will coordinate efforts with the Complex General Manager and other complex facilities to achieve quality targets, volume expectations, and delivery requirements. A key aspect of the role is to collaborate with the Complex General Manager in developing and implementing strategic short- and long-term plans aimed at establishing the plant as a low-cost producer and preferred supplier. The position also entails managing direct reports across various departments including customer service, production, quality, shipping, scheduling, and maintenance, while developing an effective team and organizational structure to maximize performance and drive superior customer and employee satisfaction. Additionally, the Site Manager is tasked with managing plant assets in alignment with strategic plans.
