Chemours is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, who will be responsible for the success of all aspects of the capital program engineering execution at the Belle plant located in Belle, WV. Success is measured by safety, cost, schedule, quality, and contribution to business improvement. The position is primarily managerial/leadership, but may also include project leadership responsibilities, when workload allows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership of high-performing teams.
  • Strong growth mindset and ability to quickly learn and apply the Chemours Project System.

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and track record.
  • Knowledge of plant operations, capital project execution, and maintenance excellence technologies.
  • High level of engineering competency and technical leadership.
  • Experience with contractor management and leveraging strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute projects within the portfolio to their authorized budgets and schedules.
  • Collaborate with site leadership and be responsive to evolving plant cost and capital needs.
  • Drive alignment on site portfolio plan collaborating with site leads, and the Capital Portfolio Manager to prioritize and align on a consolidated capital project portfolio for the company
  • Provide and coordinate engineering assistance to site to maintain safe and reliable plants, including support for MIQA, and infrastructure (non-capital work).
  • Plan and support Turn-A-Round (TAR) and/or Outage installation for projects, as needed.
  • Lead the site capital steering cadence; present portfolio status; escalate scope/risk/funding decisions.
