Site Director, Fulfillment

Thrive MarketReno, NV
$145,000 - $190,000

About The Position

Thrive Market was founded in 2014 with a mission to make healthy and sustainable living easy and affordable for everyone. As an online, membership-based market, we deliver the highest quality healthy, and sustainable products at member-only prices, while matching every paid membership with a free one for someone in need. Every day, we leverage innovative technology and member-first thinking to help our over 1,700,000+ members find better products, support better brands, and build a better world in the process. We are also a Certified B Corporation, a Public Benefit Corporation, and a Climate Neutral Certified company. Join us as we bring healthy and sustainable living to millions of Americans in the years to come. We are looking for a Fulfillment Site Director to own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of our Reno fulfillment operation. This is not a "maintain the status quo" role. You will lead a 300+ associate operation with full P&L accountability, set the bar for operational excellence, and build the playbook for how Thrive Market scales fulfillment. Our Site Directors are hands-on, floor-present leaders who balance strategic thinking with a bias for action. You will be the single-threaded owner of site performance, people outcomes, and member experience for this facility. The right person sees fulfillment as a competitive advantage, not a cost center.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment center operations at a Director or General Manager level.
  • Proven success managing large teams (300+) with a track record of building high-retention, high-performance cultures.
  • Deep operational fluency across goods receiving, pick/pack, inventory control, and direct-to-consumer small parcel fulfillment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing site-level P&L, budgets, and capital planning.
  • Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to use data, dashboards, and KPIs to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with a track record of influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Results-oriented with a history of achieving and exceeding performance targets.
  • Willingness to be on-call to address operational needs, showcasing dedication to the role and the long-term growth of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Site Strategy and P&L: Full ownership of site operations, budget, and resource allocation. You set the vision, define the operating plan, and are accountable for results.
  • People Leadership: Lead, develop, and retain a team of 300+ across People Ops, Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, QA, and Facility Services. Build a culture where associates want to stay and grow.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across order processing, inventory management, and shipment accuracy. You own the KPIs: fulfillment speed, accuracy, inventory turnover, labor productivity, cycle time, defect rates, equipment utilization, and safety compliance.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Build and maintain real-time dashboards and analytics to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and make informed resource decisions.
  • Quality and Member Experience: Uphold rigorous quality control standards across picking, packing, and shipping. Every package that leaves the facility is a brand touchpoint.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Engineering, and Member Experience teams to align fulfillment operations with broader company goals.
  • Labor Planning and Talent: Own headcount forecasting, workforce planning, and staffing strategy. Ensure we attract and retain top talent at every level of the operation.
  • Executive Communication: Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on site performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability)
  • Competitive pay + equity
  • 401k match
  • Multiple work schedules available
  • Opportunities for advancement. We have programs that will start you on a path and train you along the way
  • Coverage for Life Coaching & Therapy Sessions on our holistic mental health and well-being platform
  • Free Thrive Market membership and discount on private-label products
  • Casual atmosphere and great people to work with
