Purpose of Position This position is responsible for overseeing the alignment of supply and demand within FlightSafety International manufacturing/engineering operations by coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure production, inventory, and sales forecasts are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in accordance with strategic goals. Responsible for developing strategic insight through the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of accurate, timely, and integrated demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and production backlog and forecast. The SIOP Analyst supports alignment between demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans while providing analytical insight to Product Control, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Finance. This role ensures reliable information is available for operational execution, capacity planning, and forward-looking decision-making/forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or other technical/engineering discipline preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods) and/or related supply chain management including design, implementation, and execution of SIOP related processes preferred.
  • Understanding of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning concepts and integrated supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, material flow, procurement, and inventory management principles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise with forecasting methods, planning logic, and performance measurement.
  • Proficiency in Excel and common business tools (e.g., PowerPoint, ERP systems, reporting platforms).

  • Experience with multiple support platforms, including but not limited to planning systems (MRP/ERP), data visualization tools, obsolescence tools, and statistical forecasting methods.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Civil Ops, Commercial, and Defense to ensure that current backlog and new product forecasts are included in the aggregate demand.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze demand forecasts using historical data, operational inputs, and business assumptions.
  • Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends.
  • Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of 18 months’ forecast on a monthly basis and quarterly out to 5 years.
  • Develop capacity simulation processes to run sensitivity analysis for growth.
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders.
  • Notify Scheduling and Manufacturing of significant forecast or capacity changes on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the resolution of key supply-demand/service-cost issues.
  • Gather, consolidate, validate, and analyze data to support inventory control, purchasing, planning, manufacturing, and project execution.
  • Assist with the coordination, facilitation, and documentation of regularly scheduled planning meetings.
  • Participate in the development of statistical models to optimize safety stocks without negatively affecting customer service levels.
  • Ensure consistency of definitions, calculations, and data sources across operational and planning reports.
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics such as, but not limited to, forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, schedule adherence, and service levels.
