The Director of SIOP is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end value stream from suppliers to customers by improving cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness across the organization. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, supply planning, and customer fulfillment to ensure an integrated, high performing value chain aligned with business goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, value chain, or manufacturing leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Expertise in Lean, operational excellence, and end-to-end value stream management.
  • Strong financial acumen (cost modeling, ROI analysis, capital planning).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, advanced planning tools, and digital supply chain technologies.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • Preferred Master’s degree (MBA or Operations/Supply Chain concentration)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the value chain strategy to support business growth, profitability, and customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve total landed cost, working capital efficiency, and value stream visibility.
  • Identify opportunities for vertical integration, outsourcing, automation, and technology investments.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the value chain using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Ensure value stream mapping is regularly updated and used for decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, supplier performance, cost savings, and throughput.
  • Partner closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, finance, commercial teams, and engineering to ensure seamless flow of materials and information.
  • Align product lifecycle activities – including NPI, phase-out, and cost optimization – with value chain performance goals.
  • Lead S&OP / SIOP integration across planning, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
  • Oversee supplier strategy including cost, quality, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive supplier performance reviews and structured improvement activities.
  • Support global sourcing decisions and footprint optimization.
  • Own value chain cost structure and deliver year-over-year productivity targets.
  • Develop business cases for capital investments, footprint design, and network optimization.
  • Lead financial modeling for make/buy, capacity planning, and logistics strategy.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across value chain functions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure organizational capability to support future growth and complexity.
