About The Position

As a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer, you will play a vital role in advancing next-generation consumer hardware systems. You will contribute to the Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SIPI) design efforts, ensuring high performance and reliability through comprehensive system and board simulation and validation. This role demands a highly independent yet collaborative engineer who can work seamlessly with EE designers, system validation engineers, and vendors, driving design quality and aligning hardware specifications with system requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in signal integrity simulation and measurement.
  • Proficient in signal and power integrity principles, and knowledgeable about PCB and flex design and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in impedance control, transmission line concepts, and the development of practical design guidelines.
  • Experience developing workflows and test methodologies for signal integrity validation.
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed lab equipment and PHY compliance test setups.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and thorough documentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools, constraint management,
  • Familiarity with high-speed interface protocols (e.g., PSRAMs, Flash, MIPI).
  • Proficiency using tools like Ansys HFSS, Cadence Sigrity, PowerSI, Ansys SIwave, and Keysight ADS.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in signal and power integrity validation.
  • Experience in consumer hardware design, including design reviews and bring-up processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methodologies for signal and power integrity simulation and validation, including engineering test plans.
  • Conduct high-speed interface signal integrity simulations and perform related measurements.
  • Execute Power Distribution Network (PDN) simulations and measurements.
  • Validate high-speed interfaces in laboratory settings, ensuring alignment with design specifications and simulation outcomes.
  • Analyze simulation and lab data to identify design issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and design experiments.
  • Develop scripts to enhance workflows and automate tools for SIPI processes.
  • Support multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion of design and validation tasks.
