About The Position

Position Summary: The Letter Assembly position will take a blueprint with the led layout and populate leds according to the layout. Using basic math you will asses the layout and choose the proper leds that are called out and apply them in an efficient manner to the project you are working on. Using those same math skills you will correctly charge out the proper material on your “bom” bill of material and ensure that the sign lights evenly and properly. Strong basic math skills Populate LEDS to specific layout efficiently Test each letter or sign to ensure proper lighting Knowledge of UL 48 with training Great communication skills Ability to take coaching and mentoring well Follow all instructions to ensure signs meet the UL standards Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Requirements Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School diploma/GED Ability to visualize 3 dimensional objects from 2 dimensional drawings. Experience with metal fabricating machines, forming or rolling aluminum, and experience in spot welding. Experience in forklift operation Welding certification desirable. Work well with others and independently. Ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10 hours/day. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50-80lbs. Ability to use correct body posture. Ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling and twisting. Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12” from the body up to full body extension.
