About The Position

Rocktops is a state-of-the-art granite & stone fabrication facility located in Olathe, KS servicing the production and installation of high-quality countertop surfaces for our clients. Rocktops has an immediate opening for a Full Time Showroom Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The Front Desk Receptionist is a customer’s first impression. Therefore, the ideal candidate should welcome all guests and staff with a pleasant, cheerful attitude and possess the high ideals set forth in our company’s CORE VALUES: Problem Solving, Work Ethic, and Positivity. Requirements

  • Must have a professional demeanor when communicating verbally or in writing
  • Math skills in applying formulas to calculate units of measurement and basic arithmetic
  • Basic knowledge of how to read layouts or design drawings is a plus; training will be provided
  • Working knowledge of PC/Windows and commonly used business tools such as Excel, Google Docs
  • Ability to resolve and research problems positively and efficiently
  • Minimum of 1-year working in a professional office environment
  • excellent customer service, attention to detail and consistent follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Answering and transferring phone calls
  • Ensuring the showroom stays a clean and professional environment
  • Taking credit card payments
  • Maintaining the showroom appointment/walk-in calendar via Google Sheets
  • Help Project Managers enter job information and drawings for quoting purposes
  • Provide backup support to our sales team when necessary
  • Participate and contribute feedback via L10 meetings
  • Ensure Rocktops policies and procedures are consistently maintained
  • Meets core values of Rocktops
  • providing excellent customer service to all Rocktops customers, both internal and external
  • helping homeowners through professional greetings both in-person and over-the-phone
  • help cover showroom appointments when there's a customer wait
  • help maintain showroom cleanliness and professional presentation
  • organize samples and product literature
  • assist with networking events hosted by Rocktops
