About The Position

As a CNA you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting their independence and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Schedule: Full-Time, M-F, 2 pm to 10:30 pm Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Primary responsibility is to assist residents with showering and personal hygiene under the direction of nursing staff. Provide direct care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and position techniques to ensure their safety and comfort. Monitor residents’ vital signs, intake and output, and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, ensuring cleanliness and infection control standards are met. Document care provided and resident observations accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in educational opportunities and training programs to maintain CNA verification and enhance skills and knowledge in geriatric care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to resident care planning and goal setting. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication skills. Perform all other duties assigned. Advanced Health Care of Scottsdale is a 38-bed short-term rehab/SNF facility whose goal is to assist patients in making the transition from hospital to home. This sub-acute setting has a caseload with a majority of orthopedic replacements and fractures as well as stroke patients. At Advanced Health Care we offer all private patient suites, exceptional staff-to-patient ratios, and a state-of-the-art therapy gym. The CNA position plays a vital role in the patient's recovery process. Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state you work.
  • CPR certification and Fingerprint clearance required.
  • 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting required.
  • Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation.
  • Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to care for residents in person.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist.
  • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed.
  • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs.
  • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed.
  • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.
  • The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
