About The Position

Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director/Administrator, this entry-level management position supervises multidisciplinary teams, coordinates service needs, and collaborates with other services and agencies. The role involves fulfilling appropriate levels of service for new members and participating in a structured on-call rotation, requiring accessibility and preparedness to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe. Rotations are scheduled in advance, and employees must actively monitor communications and respond according to operational protocols. The San Mateo Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) delivers crisis services to people in the community, with law enforcement involvement only when necessary. This initiative aims to expand safe, accessible, and compassionate crisis care in San Mateo County, helping individuals get the support they need and reducing unnecessary law enforcement involvement, ER visits, and hospitalizations. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in social work or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in crises response with mentally ill individuals
  • One (1) year supervisory experience required or supervisory training within six (6) months of employment
  • Working toward licensure and registered with the BBS as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC
  • Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • Successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination
  • 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis
  • Acceptable criminal background clearances

  • Valid and current driver’s license
  • Motor vehicle clearance
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver

  • Participate in a structured on-call rotation, remaining accessible and prepared to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe
  • Actively monitor communications (e.g., phone, email) and respond in accordance with operational protocols while on-call
  • Use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
