About The Position

Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director/Administrator, this entry-level management position supervises multidisciplinary teams, coordinates service needs, and collaborates with other services and agencies. The role involves fulfilling appropriate levels of service for new members and requires participation in a structured on-call rotation, monitoring communications, and responding according to operational protocols. The San Mateo Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) aims to provide crisis services in the community, delivered by mental health professionals with minimal law enforcement involvement, to expand crisis care in San Mateo County in a safe, accessible, and compassionate way, reducing unnecessary ER visits and hospitalizations.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in social work or related field and two (2) years of experience in crises response with mentally ill individuals
  • One (1) year supervisory experience required or supervisory training within six (6) months of employment
  • Working toward licensure and registered with the BBS as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC
  • Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • Successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification
  • If the position requires driving, valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment
  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
  • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
