Shopify Solutions Architect 📍 Hybrid in Warsaw (3 days/week onsite required) | 💼 Full-time | Employment contract or B2B up to $10,000/month Our client is a US-based technology company headquartered in New York City, delivering digital solutions and consulting services that transform businesses and drive measurable value. Role Overview As a Solutions Architect, you will own the technical design and execution of mission-critical e-commerce platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce solution architecture, technical consulting, or a senior technical role, with at least 3 years of direct Shopify experience.
• Proven expertise with the Shopify platform, especially Shopify Plus, its admin features, Liquid templating, and the app ecosystem.
• Proven expertise with headless Shopify architectures, including Hydrogen/Oxygen implementations.
• Experience architecting and implementing integrations with major enterprise back-office systems (ERP, OMS, PIM).
• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify’s APIs (REST and GraphQL) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js).
• Experience developing custom Shopify apps, and utilizing Shopify Functions and Checkout UI extensions.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
• A systematic and logical approach to problem-solving and strong teamwork skills.
• Expertise in the MS Entity Framework.

Nice To Haves

• Shopify Certification or other relevant e-commerce platform certifications.
• Prior experience in re-platforming from legacy systems.
• Familiarity with back-end languages (e.g., Node.js, Ruby).

Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Design and document the complete end-to-end technical architecture for Shopify (primarily Shopify Plus) stores. This includes storefront design (headless or theme-based), backend services, integration strategy, and security.
• System Integration: Architect and develop complex integrations between Shopify and critical enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, CDP) using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Custom Development: Expertly develop, customize, and maintain high-quality Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript or React.
• Advanced Functionality: Build and maintain custom Shopify applications (private or public) and implement advanced functionality using Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility to meet unique client requirements.
• Technical Consulting: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client executives (CTO, CIO) and technical teams, providing expert guidance on the Shopify platform.
• Pre-Sales Support: Partner with the Sales team to provide technical vetting, solution scoping, effort estimations, and compelling technical presentations to prospective clients.
