Assigns service-task and work areas to employees under his supervision. Maintains proper balance of qualified personnel to service the commitment for time of completion. Oversees the quality of work performed and sees that standards of Department, supports the integrity and reputation of the company as applied to equipment and the shop responsibilities. Knows the status of current jobs and keeps the Service Manager informed of process. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the personnel policies governing our shop. Maintains a high level of morale and work ethic standards for self and service employees under his/her direction. Conducts a monthly safety and training meeting in cooperation with the shop safety committee. Maintains cleanliness and safety of shop and building for service. Sees to prompt and proper disposal of waste oils and scrap metal. Evaluates all redo for policy, shop misc, as to cause and takes necessary action to insure that there are no reoccurrences. Provides customer with detailed estimate with scope of repair to be approved. Discusses with customers require service work prior to executing repairs. Follow-up with customers on jobs performed. Maintains a level of satisfaction with customer on service performed and with the work of the personnel under his/her direction. Opens and maintains shop workorder files. Works with service admin on getting workorders ready to be processed and closed. Ensures effective employee relations; mentor, coach, train, and develop while instilling and promoting teamwork. Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager. Promotes and ensures proper safety and incident reporting procedures are in compliance, conducts investigations, and training. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
