About The Position

In the Shop Mechanic Foreman role, you will lead the daily operations of the CMS shop and mechanics, prioritizing safety. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing, automotive, or construction, possess excellent leadership skills, and have experience in problem-solving and project management. The Shop Foreman is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality. Requirements

• Previous experience as a mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment & diesel
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Provide your own basic tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Clean and organized
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• 10 years of relevant mechanical experience.
• 5 years of relevant supervisor’s experience.
• Required to obtain Class A or B CDL within 6 months of hiring date.
• Required to obtain PA state inspection and emissions license (Class 7) within 6 months to 1 year of hiring date.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily startup huddles with shop personnel.
• Assist Asset Manager.
• Lead internal shop repairs both directive and physical.
• Repair trucks, Tractor Trailers, equipment.
• Perform LOF services.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.
