About The Position

As an Automotive Shop Foreman you will be responsible for leading the technician team and managing the vehicle reconditioning process to ensure timely, high- quality repairs in alignment with MEI Group standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Lead Technician or Manager
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Basic computer proficiency
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Availability for a rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the technician team to achieve production goals and improve individual performance
• Control vehicle workflow through diagnostics, mechanical repairs, rechecks, and heavy labor assignments
• Monitor and achieve daily/weekly production targets and maintain technician billed hours per unit
• Oversee vehicle approval and priority dispatching in the MEI production system
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure adequate mechanical coverage
• Analyze reports and trends to identify process improvements
• Schedule and assign GPS installations appropriately based on technician skill level
• Maintain company standards for comebacks and quality control
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
