About The Position

The Shipping Team Lead will lead and work alongside the materials and shipping/receiving team to ensure each product line has timely support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing and receiving processes.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft applications.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the facility will be considered.
  • Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Must obtain forklift certification upon hire to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed.
  • Coordinating the team’s daily tasks and activities successful and timely completion of shipping, warehouse and receiving functions.
  • Support daily Tier 1 process and take ownership of escalation issues within the team
  • Operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet the orders from our customers through daily monitoring of warehouse / line inventory; also perform cycle counts and maintain inventory system as required.
  • Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Use a resource management system (SAP) to process all transactions and serve as an expert on the team.
  • Communicate across functions and product lines to resolve and correct issues related to materials management.
  • Coordinate training of new and current employees within the receiving, warehouse and shipping departments.
  • Pull reports for analysis to support business needs.
