About The Position

We are looking for a Shipping Loader on our second shift. This position loads and ships all product leaving Jonti-Craft. Essential Functions: Loads and transfers Jonti-Craft product between facilities. Maintains thorough knowledge of all shipping and receiving processes and equipment. Operate forklifts, power pallet jack (RFT only) and pallet jacks. Recognizes product required for transfer. Recognizes all hot product and hardware needs and transfers that product in a timely manner. Change LP tanks on forklifts Assists in day-to-day housekeeping duties of the shipping area and all of Jonti-Craft. Picks product if necessary. Drives conscientiously to safely transfer product. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Hours are typically from 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner. Keen awareness of all safety needs and requirements. Safety conscientious. Clean driving record required. Excellent communication skills. Working Conditions: Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust, and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat. Physical Requirements: The Shipping Loader processes. This position loads and ships all product leaving Jonti-Craft. Maintains thorough knowledge of all shipping processes and equipment. Operates forklifts and power pallet jacks (RFT only). Completes cycle counts and accurate inventory counts and analyzes grid locations. Identifies all inventory for shipment. Updates all bill of ladings. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.
