You’ll spend at least 50% of your time working alongside the shipping team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement standards are met.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or shipping environment
• Comfortable leading from the floor and stepping into the work
• Strong communication, coaching, and accountability skills
• A continuous-improvement mindset grounded in Lean principles
• Commitment to building a positive, high-performing team culture
• Previously forklift certified and willing to be certified by Sashco
• Able to pass all necessary DOT trainings required for this position
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a forklift safely in a busy warehouse environment

• 1 year of shipping and freight experience

Responsibilities

• Own daily shipping operations, metrics, and performance
• Lead daily team meetings and Gemba walks
• Coach, develop, and hold Shipping Technicians accountable
• Track and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and 5S metrics
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and value stream mapping
• Coordinate staffing, labor planning, and shift handoffs
• Partner with Maintenance, Purchasing, and internal teams
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
