We are looking for a Shipping Specialist to join our team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. In this role, you will ensure the packaging of all products are properly completed to mitigate against damage in transport and to ensure the proper packages are organized in such a fashion that the correct carrier picks up the packages that were part of that carriers’ shipment. Shifts available: Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent GED
the ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously for an 8-hour day and to stand for up to 10 hours in a production setting indoors
possess a thorough and organized approach to your work
pay close attention to details on every project
have basic computer skills
be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company and Customer quality standards
apply effective time management and self-management skills
understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
be able to quickly move from one project to other while dealing with a very stressful deadline
be flexible to change
able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

manufacturing experience in a production setting
printing industry experience a plus

Responsibilities

ensure packaging of product is sufficient enough so no damage occurs during shipping
capture all accurate dimensions and weights for all outbound packages
process shipments on FedEx, UPS and TBG’s internal transportation management system for the most effective transport in the most cost effective and timely fashion
collaborate with the Production Lead, Shipping, to track and monitor packaged material inventory and ensure that materials are maintained at an adequate level in order to meet packaging production shipping demands
communicate any concerns about packaging inventory meeting limited quantity thresholds so that the production lead can order more inventory in a timely fashion
utilize best practices for reduction of cost
perform miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management
