About The Position

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a dedicated Shipping Specialist to play a key role in our outbound logistics operations. In this position, you'll be responsible for verifying and maintaining shipment records, preparing items for transit, and ensuring all documentation—such as bills of lading, manifests, and invoices—is accurate and complete. You'll also be hands-on in physically loading shipments onto approved transportation modes, helping us deliver excellence from dock to destination. Requirements

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED).
  • 6 months related experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • Ability to concentrate, pay attention to detail, multi-task, and use independent judgment and discretion.
  • Frequently required to see, hear, sit, stand stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, bend/reach, climb ladders, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to communicate through both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Operation of fork truck.
  • Ability to work with fine detail and distinguish color.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Compare identifying information; physically count, weigh, or measure material departing from the facility; and verify accuracy against purchase orders, packing slips, or other pertinent documents.
  • Post weights and shipping charges on outbound and physically inspect items for damage.
  • Create & schedule outbound shipments using 3rd party database.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, convey or hoist material from the shipping platform; and operate vehicles used for shipping.
  • Ability to use power tools to finish assembly of crated materials.
  • Package product per customer requirements.
  • Maintain good intercompany communication with Sell Off Coordinator & all other departments.
  • Good communication/interaction with transport companies by maintaining professionalism and respect.
  • Performs additional tasks as required. Operates vehicles when required.
