We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Specialist on 1st Shift (8:30am – 5:00pm) at our Evansville, IN facility. The main purpose of this position is to ensure timely and proper shipment of products, from the manufacturing facility, to the customer base domestically and internationally.

Requirements

GED or High School Diploma
1-3 years’ experience in customer services and/or Inside Sales, Supply Chain OR Any combination of equivalent education and experience in Customer Service/Supply Chain.
Ability to work across departments, with customers, vendors, internally, in order to complete task in timely, efficient, cost effective manner for outbound deliveries.
Ability to successfully pass Ishihara Test for Colour-Deficiency
Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual

Nice To Haves

Experience with hazardous shipping
Experience with international shipments
SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Preparation of proper paperwork to accompany finished goods – Print order received by Inside Sales, attach packing list, prepare/finalize bill of lading.
Checking of pulled orders – ensure accuracy and labeling according to customer and DOT requirements.
Contact trucking companies – to pick up prepared orders
Reviews work instructions – associated with the above mentioned job title and regularly attends company-wide training on areas such as Corporate Ethics, Safety, Environmental, etc.
