About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for a Shipping/Receiving in Brush Prairie, WA! . We are looking for you! To coordinate the shipping and receiving of internal and external customer’s cylinders. Tracking of private cylinders to assure the accuracy of fills and returns. Handle all cylinder needs in a manner that serves the best interest of both customer and company. To ensure great customer service and be the industry leader by performing the following.

Requirements

  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Required Length and Type of Experience: One year experience working in a similar fill plant is preferred.
  • Computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets)
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications.
  • Ability to work independently in a team atmosphere, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customers’ needs and management expectations.
  • Must be able to work in a drug free environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of internal and external customer’s cylinders.
  • Tracking of private cylinders to assure the accuracy of fills and returns.
  • Handle all cylinder needs in a manner that serves the best interest of both customer and company.
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Coordinate with plant manager in assigning production needs based on scheduled delivery needs as well as shipping schedules.
  • Works closely with distribution to anticipate customer needs both in new business and growth.
  • Informs operations manager of all shortages.
  • Arranges for carriers shipping.
  • Informs sales customer service and customers of any route rescheduling.
  • Works with management on identifying opportunities and improving productivity of routes.
  • Identified cylinders for proper placement and markings.
  • Conducts visual safety inspection of cylinders.
  • Places cylinders that fail inspection into quarantine based on operating procedure.
  • Updates SAP system with order changes and updates.
  • Maintains SAP system for cylinder inventory accuracy.
  • Produces reports from SAP system on a regular basis.
  • Follows Hazard shipping requirements based on location and procedures.
  • All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.
