About The Position

This position helps ensure we deliver our customers’ orders on time and as they expect. This position manages daily warehouse operations, overseeing staff, incoming/outgoing shipments, and inventory accuracy to ensure timely, compliant deliveries. Key responsibilities include coordinating logistics, training staff, enforcing safety procedures, and resolving freight discrepancies. This role is a “working supervisor” splitting time between system and office tasks as well as hands-on work on the will oversee loading, unloading, and inventory records using Syteline, our ERP system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 - 5 years of prior experience in a similar role or having similar responsibilities, with at least 1 year supervising other employees.
  • Forklift certification is required, and if not current, must re-establish.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy
  • Must be highly dependable, driven to learn, and able to adapt quickly to changing work instructions
  • Demonstrate a strong team player mentality and a can-do attitude, collaborating effectively with colleagues and management to achieve team and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, schedules, and trains shipping/receiving employees, working closely with Material Handlers.
  • Directs incoming and outgoing shipments, including scheduling, loading and unloading, receiving and processing customer orders,
  • Maintains accurate inventory counts, ensures quality packaging is maintained according to customer needs, and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Verifies bills of lading, packing lists, and ensures proper labelling.
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
  • Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and works to solve them
  • Ensure that a backup of stock is maintained and ready for shipment processing
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental management and systems
  • Other duties as assigned.
