RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day to day Shipping & Receiving operations at the Plant. Be the back up to the Shipping & Receiving department. Conduct Inventory Control activities. Manage time sheets and PTO requests from direct reports. Respond to daily employee relations issues, and contributing to the resolution of associate concerns, to help promote a harmonious work environment. Delegate assignments to appropriate teams and personnel. Ensure new and temporary associates are properly trained and monitor their work. Manage sample request process, material transfer to other DuBois sites. Design and execute auditing processes for inbound and outbound materials, equipment, etc. Manages ‘in question’ (“on hold” items, stranded containers of material, etc.) inventory with production leads, quality, etc. Optimize and standardize flow patterns to and from distribution centers, other company warehouses. Ensure quality output and on-time completion of production support activities. Manage recycle activities (totes, drums, etc.). Work with Finance & Accounting to ensure the integrity of inventory valuation. Create, customize, and deliver reports on inventory data (i.e., usage, turns, etc.). Demonstrate an advance proficiency with all inventory control functions in D365. Support driving down excess (salable) inventory generated by the business. Develop correction actions and develop KPIs for improvements. Own min-max management of packaging materials. Monitor performance levels in support areas to achieve standards and resolve problems. Ensure the completion of process records and performing the data entry, as required. Drive change through lean, and continuous improvement activities. Maintain and build good housekeeping processes. Serves as backup to Production Supervisors. Foster a positive work environment. Recommend process improvements to Plant Manager. Regular and sustained attendance.

Requirements

  • 5 years of prior supervisor/management experience preferred.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and driving change.
  • Proficient with business management principles (i.e. budgeting, strategic planning, etc.).
  • Proven experience with team building and engaging the team to identify best practices.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office; WMS experience preferred.
  • Proficient in hardware [industrial] printers and label software [Bartender].
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment.
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Previous experience in chemical production, manufacturing, and/or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and positive attitude.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Standing and /or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
