About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Materials Technician role is a hands-on, in-person role located in Schenectady, NY. The successful candidate will be self-motivated. This person will demonstrate strong attention to detail. Within this role, the successful candidate’s primary function will support the PDO team’s day to day logistics and shipping functions. As the Materials Technician, you will: Submit requests in OTM for the creation of Order Releases. Submit Order Releases to routing center to have shipment pickups arranged. Submit requests to OTM team for creation of new shipping addresses as needed. Create Commercial Invoices for International Shipping. Database search and submission of requests of unclassified materials for international shipping codes. Create FedEx labels and schedule pickups for Express and Freight. Create Packing Lists for Shipments. Assist in maintaining and updating Production schedule, Packing schedule, and Case Log. Create Purchase Requisitions & Receipts in Ariba for indirect material needed. Receive direct material in SAP and transact material movements as needed. Maintain FTZ related Bills of Lading in designated filing cabinet following FTZ rules and regulations. This may require scanning and distributing to the FTZ team and customs as requested. Record Stator Bar data in BMS. Maintain files of all physical bar maps. Provide training to new employees as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED AND 2+ years of working in a manufacturing environment
