Summary KEMET Electronics, A YAGEO Group Company, is seeking a Shipping Technician for the Tantalum Innovation Center located in Simpsonville, SC. This position will support manufacturing operations by shipping and receiving materials through Dock D and by monitoring all inventory for the Ceramics and Tantalum business groups. Issue materials in and out of stores and the tool crib. Ship and receive production equipment. Ship production parts to all customers through Dock B.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to perform unit conversions.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain certification to ship equipment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain forklift certification through Kemet.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a hazardous material certificate.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight to the plant.
  • Use Oracle to maintain inventory for multiple areas.
  • Perform daily inventory manual cycle counts.
  • Perform incoming inspections on direct and indirect materials.
  • Issue materials from stores and the tool crib.
  • Ship and receive production equipments.
  • Ship hazardous material via FedEx, UPS, or DHL.
  • Ship production parts for all customers.
