About The Position

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions) is looking for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Lead for our Baldwin Park Factory. Willingness to work overtime a must. The Shipping and Receiving Lead oversees logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods, training staff, and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred, typically requiring 3-7 years.
Understanding of shipping processes, inventory control, and compliance with safety standards.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and ensuring quality control.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Manage Shipping and Receiving Operations: Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
Team Leadership: Train and supervise shipping and receiving staff, acting as a liaison between management and the team.
Quality Control: Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate shipping records, including packing lists and bills of lading (BOL), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, customer service, and logistics partners to coordinate shipment statuses and resolve discrepancies.
Inventory Management: Record all activities in the inventory management system, updating stock levels as necessary.
Safety and Efficiency: Adhere to safety regulations and best practices in all activities, operating material handling equipment safely.
