As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk and part of our Phoenix manufacturing team, your career will put you on the front line of our activities. You'll find the products we make indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between: from office buildings and airports, and restaurants and hotels, to universities, healthcare facilities, and parks and city centers. It's an exciting and fast-moving place to work. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk we seek must have a strong safety focus and technical aptitude, as well as a strong work ethic, adaptability and eye for detail. You will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Requirements

  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Occasional forklift use experience is a plus
  • Daily parcel shipment familiar with Fed ex or UPS is a plus but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Create crate logs which tell our customer what is being received in each crate/box
  • Take photos of out bound freight identifying what is being loaded
  • Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair and processing.
  • Operates the stretch wrap banders.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the goods received and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Required to make pick ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company van.
