Corporate - Shipping/Receiving Associate
About The Position
Rite Rug has been a leader in the flooring industry for over 90 years! We are looking for a detailed Shipping/Receiving associate to join our team! Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm $19 per hour POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for accurately receiving and recording materials in the system, organizing inventory on shelves as needed, and maintaining accurate records of materials on hand. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to problem-solve when shipments are incorrect, and communicate clearly and professionally in writing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
Responsibilities
- Receive and enter materials into the computer system
- Organize and label materials on shelves to maintain an orderly warehouse
- Verify shipment accuracy and resolve issues when vendor deliveries are incomplete or incorrect
- Update information in work orders and inventory records
- Create and process paperwork for material transfers
- Adjust material locations in the computer system as needed
- Conduct warehouse inventories and make system adjustments
- Communicate effectively by email, providing prompt, clear, and concise updates and answers to questions
- Perform other duties as assigned
