Position Summary The Shipping Associate is responsible for accurately preparing and shipping customer orders in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to ensuring all packages meet company standards for accuracy and presentation. During slower periods, this position will also assist with general warehouse support duties as needed.
Requirements
- General knowledge of shipping carriers, including UPS and USPS
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
- Ability to stay focused on tasks with minimal distractions
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Regularly lift and move packages up to 30 lbs
- Occasionally lift packages up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Pack and ship outgoing products daily, ensuring orders are completed correctly and on schedule
- Count, verify, and compare items against packing slips and order documentation
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe delivery of products
- Check shipments for accuracy, including correct quantities, items, and labels
- Process shipments using UPS and USPS systems and procedures
- Differentiate between domestic and international shipments and follow proper shipping requirements
- Maintain an organized and efficient shipping workspace
- Assist with general warehouse duties during slower periods, including organizing inventory and supporting fulfillment operations
