The shipping coordinator is responsible for performing various clerical duties that are required to accurately receive, maintain and distribute materials and coordinating the shipment of finished product. The shipping clerk works effectively as a team contributor on all required tasks, works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees. Essential Functions: The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at Mauser are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any or all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list: Maintains and file shipping documents Generates BOL (bill of lading) for outbound freight Schedules LTL (less than truck load) with LTL carriers Performs check-in of inbound freight Completes daily cycle counts of finished goods Verifies loading documentation and check for accuracy Notifies the supervisor of any issues with shipments Makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the job, efficiency, quality and quantity. Additional Responsibilities: Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Job Scope: Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. In-depth knowledge of changeovers.
