- Previous shipping or coordination experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enter and manage daily manifests to ensure accurate shipment tracking.
- Coordinate returned or unshipped sales orders promptly.
- Organize next-day shipments and maintain shipping runs efficiently.
- Prepare and file shipping tickets and related documentation.
- Write Ft. Smith orders and complete BOLs for carriers.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and resolve delivery issues as they arise.
- Assign drivers strategically to minimize overtime.
- Monitor truck stops, weights, and shuttle runs for accuracy.
- Purchase permits for oversized loads as needed.
- Proof and post material receivers for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Cover receiving duties during lunch breaks.
- Scan and email manifests and paperwork to all locations.
- Maintain a heat list for MTRs and organize records efficiently.
- Schedule driver pickups and coordinate logistics as required.
