About The Position

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Shipping Clerk (Outbound) is responsible for all outbound shipping activities, including order verification, packaging, staging, and shipment documentation. This role ensures accurate and timely shipment of finished goods, maintains inventory accuracy related to shipping, and oversees ancillary materials and packaging operations. The position plays a key role in supporting production flow and customer delivery performance while adhering to safety and quality standards. Ceramex North America is an industry leader in DPF/DOC maintenance, helping truck owners manage emissions systems with a component exchange program that delivers longer service intervals, fewer regens, better fuel economy, and less unplanned maintenance. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate or become certified on a forklift.
  • Basic computer and ERP system experience.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiar with inventory control practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous shipping or logistics experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all outbound shipping functions including picking, staging, packaging and loading shipments.
  • Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders, packing lists, and system transactions.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and process transactions in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily shipments to meet customer deadlines.
  • Oversee and manage ancillary materials (e.g., pallets, crates, packaging supplies) to ensure availability and proper usage.
  • Support and provide direction to packaging personnel to ensure proper packing methods and quality standards are met.
  • Inspect finished goods prior to shipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move and load product safely.
  • Maintain organization of shipping and staging areas using FIFO methodology where applicable.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
  • Participate in and support Open Book Management principles.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE use.
  • Maintain exemplary attendance and reliability.
