About The Position

The Materials Manager manages inventory and purchasing procedures of core, new and remanufactured materials and other supplies used in the production process. They are responsible for the Ceramex supply chain and inventory control. They are responsible for logistics on all incoming and outgoing freight, of any capacity. The goal is to ensure our operations always have an adequate flow of the material they need. What we do: Ceramex North America is an industry leader in DPF/DOC maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Training and management of ERP items and processes for incoming & outgoing items
  • Logistics management
  • Management of a small team
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing organizational goals.
  • Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
  • Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates
  • Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers
  • Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
