Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for executing high-volume, end-to-end shipping and fulfillment operations in a fast-paced environment within the Warehouse and Shipping department. This is a non-exempt, hourly role focused on accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or order fulfillment environment preferred
• Experience with inventory control, picking/packing, and order fulfillment processes preferred
• Forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification upon hire
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order processing software
• Working knowledge of parcel shipping systems, including FedEx and UPS
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines consistently
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to identify and report discrepancies
• Ability to lift, carry, and move packages up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks (forklift operation where applicable)
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of freight shipping processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Receive and process daily orders from the warehouse management system (WMS) with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
• Pick, pack, and prepare shipments including finished goods, printed materials, and related items in alignment with work order specifications
• Ensure all shipments meet quality standards, including verifying quantities, specifications, and special handling instructions
• Inspect products and packaging for defects and escalate discrepancies as needed
• Review and prioritize work orders to meet production schedules, shipping deadlines, and customer expectations
• Follow established SOPs and contribute ideas for process improvement
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and assist in discrepancy resolution
• Communicate delays, safety concerns, or operational risks to leadership in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA and company standards
