About The Position

Adams Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our high-quality cabinets and millwork products are properly packaged, labeled, and shipped to customers on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or millwork environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, invoices, and packing slips.
  • Experience using forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize shipments efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking shipments and updating records.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials as needed (50+ lbs).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Strong ability to be self-motivated to insure all work is completed quickly and timely
  • Ability to identify and use basic hand tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Math skills such as adding and subtracting
  • High attention to detail
  • Clean and neat appearance
  • Knowledge of packing finished products in a safe, efficient manner, minimizing potential damage to the products
  • Ability to read and utilize checklists
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans, and shop drawings.
  • Positive attitude toward personnel, department and company goals
  • Demonstrates respect for fellow team members and customers
  • Takes responsibility for getting the work done
  • Be able to lift 75lbs on a regular basis
  • Strong computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, and label cabinets and millwork products for shipment.
  • Verify shipment contents against work orders, invoices, and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand as needed.
  • Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products are damage-free before shipping.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents and damages.
