Shipping and Receiving Clerk
About The Position
Responsible for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, also loading and unloading delivery trucks. Assure all orders are shipped as timely as possible. Job Duties : Assists with maintaining shipping procedures for incoming and outgoing orders to ensure extraordinary standards of accuracy and high levels of order fulfillment. Ensures effective order acknowledgement and shipping process geared towards high-value customers. Enters received goods into Traverse. Effectively pulls products to ship per pick lists. Verify incoming items against the purchase order. Operates a sit down forklift. Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the general public. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting; shipping or logistics
- At least 1 year of experience operating a sit down forklift
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- The ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
- All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to a national background check
