We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Dispatcher with a starting pay rate of $18-19 per hour, depending on experience and equipment knowledge. This is a direct-hire role, so you'll be part of our team from the start! And the benefits don't end there. Palmer Distribution Services, Inc. was started in the mid-1960s by Frank Rifeschlagger as a public warehouse and trucking company servicing the grocery and chemical industries in Houston, TX. The name comes from a street where the first warehouses were located. After William Hermann took over and provided services, he successfully revitalized during the 1980s. In 1988, Hermann Services acquired Palmer as part of an effort to expand its operations regionally. The Palmer name was used for 9 years until 1997, when the division was renamed Hermann Warehouse Southwest, but it was short-lived after the division was renamed in 2000. The Palmer name was restored at this time with a slight change to our current trade name, Palmer Logistics. Today, Palmer Logistics is a successful regional provider based on the fundamental philosophies that have enabled the Hermann family's success for four generations: reliability, customer service, and uncompromising integrity. Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of Shipping/Receiving experience
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, Synapse a plus
• High school diploma or GED
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Bilingual - Spanish - with ability to speak and write English preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Responsibilities

• Check in drivers
• Monitor daily emails
• Schedule appointments
• Keeping up with daily log/and daily schedule
• Following up with carriers on late or missed pick-ups.
• Schedule inbound loads and outbound loads.
• Document and report scheduling issues by account.
• Monitor and report accuracy on ISO conformances pertaining to receiving/shipping activities. Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong data entry skills; accuracy - Clerical skills
• Professional Communication skills; verbal and written
• Attention to detail, organization
• Reliable Transportation
• Willingness to learn Palmer procedures
