The purpose of Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Driver position is to prepare all products for shipment and serve as the face of the company when making local deliveries. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Driver moves with a sense of urgency and ensures that packages are properly packed and loaded on trucks in order to meet our quality promise to the customers. As a member of the Shipping and Receiving Team, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Driver may move to other departments to assist where company needs and business dictate.

Requirements

Positive attitude, reliable attendance, willingness to learn.
High School diploma or equivalent is recommended.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Must be self-motivated, work efficiently and possess excellent communication skills
Able to drive a 26-foot box truck.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

Follow all shipping processes to prepare and wrap all products for shipment.
Load shipments onto the truck.
Serve as a driver for local deliveries.
Verify product identification when received from manufacturing.
Check copper quantities against copper documents.
Provide back-up assistance to the Receiving department when required.
Create accurate packing slips for shipments and identify and make corrections when product and quantities dictate.
Prepare and send out advance shipping notices.
Ensure the accuracy of shipping terms, shipping locations, tracking information, shipping cost, carriers, etc.
Assist with inventory counts.
Actively participate in improving processes and systems.
Ensure that work meets quality standards.
Promote a safe and clean work environment by continuously cleaning throughout the day.
Consistently meet company set productivity guidelines.
Consistently follow all safety instructions as outlined in the Associate Safety Manual.
Adhere to Earnest Products Core Values, policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
Regular attendance is an essential job requirement to meet company productivity standards.
Overtime work as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
