About The Position

The Shipping and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage and distribution of products, maintaining precise inventory records, and handling inbound and outbound shipping operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of customer service experience, or equivalent.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications or desire and ability to learn.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Requires extended periods of telephone and PC exposure.
  • This position also requires lifting, squatting, and reaching overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and track inbound/outbound shipments, including coordinating with carriers for freight pickups and deliveries.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, ensuring the right products and quantities are received.
  • Pick warehouse items for jobs, service tickets, and outer-island transfer requests and process drop shipments utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates, document tracking, charges, and other shipping records of relevance.
  • Ensure that all internal preparations and outgoing shipments are properly labeled, and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
  • Work in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager to field incoming shipments; determine storage needs, allocate appropriate space within the warehouse, and manage movement of inventory; deliver non-warehouse shipments to intended recipients or departments.
  • Assist in loading and unloading deliveries and determine safe ways of stacking items in warehouse for storage and retrieval; operate forklifts to pick heavy boxes and transport them to checking areas
  • Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies
  • Responsible for maintaining FIFO inventory rotation
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts of warehouse and technician trucks; and maintain appropriate records.
  • Assist AP with reconciling vendor invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain organization and aesthetics of the warehouse.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • All other duties as assigned
