About The Position

We're looking for a passionate Shift Supervisor responsible for the supervision of nursing team and who oversees the operation of a nursing unit and the daily delivery of care to residents. Keeps Director of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. Coordinates unit admissions, discharges, and transfers. Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements. Identifies guest service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Assist charge nurses when needed to manage work assignments if overloaded by emergencies or during high volume time. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
  • One (1) year professional nursing experience required; experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred; management experience preferred.
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance
  • First Aid and CPR
