About The Position

A Shift Leader is responsible for the restaurant's overall operations during their assigned shift. This includes ensuring that all company standards are met and that company policies and procedures are strictly followed. A key aspect of the role is cost control. The Shift Leader is expected to communicate clearly with employees, providing effective supervision to ensure that all assignments are completed properly. This position also involves managing inventory, reordering supplies, and adjusting the Par Prep Sheet to ensure a continuous supply of fresh products for guests. The Shift Leader observes and guides crewmembers, reallocates labor as needed, and coordinates overall operations to maintain efficiency. Guest satisfaction is paramount, requiring the Shift Leader to ensure quick and efficient service, solicit feedback, and resolve any guest complaints. Beyond operational duties, the Shift Leader is responsible for fostering a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, demonstrating a caring attitude towards both guests and employees, and upholding the company’s high standards for operational quality and cleanliness. The role also includes administrative duties that require basic computer skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain cash variances at acceptable levels
  • Reliable transportation
  • Project a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times in the restaurant
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists
  • Basic computer skills
