Based at our Greenwood, SC site, the Manufacturing Team Lead provides hands‑on leadership, coaching, and technical support to colleagues in our capsule manufacturing operations. This role is central to driving performance, safety, quality, and team development on shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of capsule manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage fast‑paced, high‑intensity situations.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally and must score 100 or below on the Color Test.
  • Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts—including weekends and holidays—and additional hours as required by business needs.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma certification (Orange Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership, direction, and coaching to manufacturing colleagues to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Coordinate team activities and workflow across the shift, ensuring productivity, quality, and GMP compliance.
  • Troubleshoot capsule manufacturing equipment, including HGC, Vcaps Plus HCMs, Borsor, Unisor, and ILD‑iBox systems.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings, address safety concerns, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety and waste reduction.
  • Monitor job performance, attendance, and training progress of team members, providing feedback and corrective guidance when needed.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and system deviations arising during the shift.
  • Support customer and oversight audits through colleague, document, and training compliance.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and production graphs using MFG applications and present findings to management.
