About The Position

If you’re someone who thrives on the night shift and enjoys leading from the front, this role is for you. As our 3rd Shift Manufacturing Group Leader, you’ll lead a team across key production areas Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (with overtime opportunities on Thursday). Your focus will be on developing leaders, strengthening processes, and creating a shift that runs safely, efficiently, and with pride.

Requirements

  • A 2- or 4-year degree in business, engineering, or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with light assembly, welding, and powder coat processes.
  • Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI frameworks (Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a gift for coaching others.
  • Experience leading diverse teams through change and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Champion our CEED (Career Elevation & Employee Development) program and OnTRAC performance system to create meaningful growth pathways for team members.
  • Equip Manufacturing Process Leaders with the skills to become strong people leaders, effective problem solvers, and catalysts for change.
  • Strengthen Processes through Continuous Improvement: Own and refine operational processes by applying lean principles and standard work while cultivating a Kaizen-driven environment that enhances performance and engages team members.
  • Balance daily production requirements with long-term capability building, including safety performance, takt adherence, quality outcomes, and productivity improvements.
  • Facilitate Manufacturing Process Leader meetings to align on goals and actions. Participate in process-area huddles to reinforce clear, consistent, and motivating messages to team members.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of production documentation, including BOMs, routings, work instructions, quality criteria, and playbooks.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Process Leaders and team members to adjust manpower to customer demand while maintaining clear communication and alignment across leadership.
  • Direct and audit daily housekeeping, 5S, and equipment maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain a tour-ready production environment at all times.
