As LPN, you will be a vital member of the nursing team, responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls as indicated, working in close collaboration with the Director of Nursing and the Supervisor. Our LPNs participate in the planning and coordination of total patient care in conjunction with the RN and the physician's plan of care, following the nursing care plan for each patient.

Requirements

  • LPN and is currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing
  • Must have 2 years of nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications.
  • Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
  • Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
  • Respond to the resident emergency call system as indicated.
  • Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
  • Keeps the physician and family aware of changes in the resident’s condition.
  • Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
  • Assures continuity of services and care.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
