About The Position
Nucor Steel - Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Shift Electrician. The responsibilities of Shift Electrician include, but are not limited to, Day-to-day electrical maintenance in the plant Automation and daily use of CMMS Supporting maintenance and production crews Special projects Eliminating downtime and waste Improving predictive and preventative maintenance This could include troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment. Candidates must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled shifts, rotating day and night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Associates electrical technical degree confirmed by June 2026; or 3 years industrial electrical experience
- Candidates must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled shifts, rotating day and night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience with power systems maintenance
- PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience
