Basic Job Functions:The Refractory Tech is responsible for safe and efficient performance in the Refractory department at all times. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspection, repair or replacement of ladle and tundish refractories Review and understanding procedures at the Ladlewall, Tundish Yard, and Bricking Stand Crane and mobile equipment operation Maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Melt Shop and/or Refractory experience
